Terms of Service

The terms you agree to when RunXForMe publishes Instagram videos and photos, and posts you write, to your X account.

Last updated 6 September 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using www.runxforme.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of RunXForMe ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole trader based in Australia. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any modification indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

RunXForMe is an automation tool. You nominate a public Instagram account as a content source, connect your X (formerly Twitter) account, and the Service automatically publishes videos and photos from that Instagram source, together with any posts you write in the dashboard, to your X account on a recurring schedule according to your chosen plan.

The Service:

  • Retrieves publicly available video and photo posts from the Instagram account you nominate
  • Generates a caption for Instagram posts using artificial intelligence
  • Publishes the video or photos, or a post you wrote yourself, to your connected X account
  • Records which posts have been published so the same post is not selected twice

A subscription connects one public Instagram source to one X account. Only Instagram posts containing a downloadable video or photo can be published; Stories are not included. You may also write your own posts, with text and up to four images, for publishing through the Service, and you are responsible for their content.

The Service is provided on a paid subscription basis with a 7-day free trial.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, or X Corp. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

3. Your Responsibility to Comply with Instagram's and X's Rules

THIS SECTION IS IMPORTANT. READ IT CAREFULLY.

3.1 You Must Check the Platforms' Rules Yourself

The Service interacts with two third-party platforms, Instagram (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.) and X (operated by X Corp.). Each of those platforms has its own terms of service, community guidelines, developer policies, automation rules, and content policies. Those rules are set by those platforms, not by us. They change without notice, and they are not ours to interpret on your behalf.

Before you use the Service, and on an ongoing basis while you use it, you are solely responsible for reviewing and satisfying yourself that your intended use is permitted by:

  • The Instagram Terms of Use and Community Guidelines
  • The X Terms of Service, Rules, and any applicable automation or platform manipulation policies
  • Any developer, API, or content-usage policies published by either platform
  • Any additional rules that apply to your account type, region, or monetisation status

Relevant policy pages at the time of writing include:

These links are provided as a convenience only. They may change or move, and it is your responsibility to locate and read the current versions.

3.2 Specific Matters You Should Consider

Without limiting the above, you should specifically consider whether your use of the Service is consistent with the platforms' rules regarding:

  • Automated posting, scheduled posting, and bot activity
  • Duplicate, repetitive, or bulk content
  • Reposting content originally published on another platform
  • Cross-posting content that you did not create yourself
  • Attribution and credit requirements
  • Platform manipulation, spam, and engagement farming
  • Collection or reuse of content from another service
  • Monetisation programmes and revenue-sharing eligibility

3.3 You Accept the Risk of Enforcement Action

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your Instagram or X account may be restricted, rate-limited, shadow-banned, suspended, or permanently terminated as a result of activity carried out through the Service
  • We do not warrant that use of the Service complies with the rules of Instagram, X, or any other platform
  • We make no representation that either platform permits, approves, or tolerates the activity the Service performs
  • Enforcement decisions are made solely by those platforms, and we have no ability to appeal, reverse, or influence them
  • Loss of an account, followers, reach, verification status, or monetisation eligibility is a risk you accept entirely
  • We are not liable for any consequence of enforcement action taken against you by any platform (see Section 13)

If you are unsure whether your intended use is permitted, do not use the Service until you have satisfied yourself that it is, or obtained your own advice.

3.4 Your Warranty

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have reviewed the applicable rules of Instagram and X, and that your use of the Service does not breach them.

4. Content Rights and Permissions

4.1 Only Repost Content You Own or Are Permitted to Use

You must only use the Service with Instagram content that you own or that you have permission to republish.

By nominating an Instagram account as a source, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content published by that account, or you have obtained express permission from the rights holder to republish it on X
  • Republishing that content on your X account does not infringe any copyright, trademark, moral right, publicity right, privacy right, or other right of any person
  • You have all necessary consents and releases from any identifiable person appearing in the content
  • You have complied with any attribution or credit conditions imposed by the rights holder
  • The content does not breach any law, or the rules of Instagram or X

4.2 Content Is Published Under Your Name

Content published through the Service appears on your X account, under your handle, as though you posted it. You are the publisher of that content for all purposes, including legal ones. We do not review, approve, moderate, curate, or endorse anything published through the Service.

4.3 We Do Not Verify Rights

We do not and cannot verify whether you own the content you nominate, or whether you have permission to use it. The Service will retrieve and publish content from any public Instagram account you enter. Entering a username into the Service is your assertion that you have the right to do so.

4.4 Prohibited Content

You must not use the Service to publish content that:

  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any person
  • Depicts or sexualises minors in any way, including child sexual abuse material
  • Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise breaches X's adult content rules
  • Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive
  • Harasses, threatens, stalks, doxxes, or invades the privacy of any person
  • Promotes hate speech, discrimination, extremism, or violence
  • Is graphic, gratuitously violent, or gratuitously disturbing
  • Constitutes spam, scam content, or platform manipulation
  • Contains malware or malicious code
  • Impersonates any person or organisation, or misrepresents its origin
  • Breaches any applicable law or regulation

We may remove content, suspend automation, or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we believe this section has been breached, and may report unlawful content to the relevant authorities.

5. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly provide the Service to anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their access and delete their associated data.

6. Accounts and Registration

6.1 Creating an Account

You may register using email, Apple sign-in, or Google sign-in. Authentication is provided by Clerk, a third-party identity provider, and is subject to their terms and privacy policy.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, including all content published through it
  • Notify us immediately at support@runxforme.com of any unauthorised access

6.2 One Account Per Person

You must not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, pricing tiers, or trial eligibility, or to evade a suspension.

7. Connecting Your X Account

7.1 Authorisation

To publish on your behalf, you must connect your X account through X's own secure authorisation screen. Your X password is never entered into, transmitted to, or stored by RunXForMe. We receive an access token that permits posting.

7.2 What the Authorisation Permits

By connecting your X account, you grant us permission to publish posts to that account automatically, on the schedule associated with your plan, without further confirmation from you for each individual post. You are authorising unattended, automated publishing.

7.3 Revoking Access

You may disconnect your X account from your RunXForMe dashboard at any time, which deletes the stored access tokens and stops all future posting. You may also revoke access directly from your X account settings. Revoking access does not remove posts already published. Deleting posts from X is your responsibility.

7.4 Token Security

Access tokens are encrypted before storage. However, no security measure is perfect (see Section 12).

8. Instagram Source Accounts

8.1 Public Accounts Only

The Service works only with public Instagram accounts. We never ask for, receive, or store your Instagram password. We do not log in to Instagram on your behalf.

8.2 Third-Party Retrieval

Instagram content is retrieved through a third-party content-retrieval provider. We do not control that provider's availability, accuracy, methods, or compliance with any platform's rules. If that provider becomes unavailable or changes its service, the Service may stop working in whole or in part.

8.3 Nominating Accounts You Do Not Control

The Service does not prevent you from entering the username of an account that is not yours. Doing so without the rights holder's permission is a breach of Section 4 and may also be a breach of Instagram's rules, X's rules, and copyright law. You accept full responsibility for the accounts you nominate.

9. AI-Generated Captions

9.1 How Captions Are Generated

Captions for X posts are generated using artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI. This is an automated process. No human reviews captions before they are published. If AI captions are unavailable, the original Instagram caption is used instead.

9.2 AI Output May Be Wrong

AI-generated text is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, nonsensical, misleading, inappropriate, offensive, or contextually wrong. It may misdescribe the content it accompanies. It may include claims that are false.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY CAPTION PUBLISHED TO YOUR X ACCOUNT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CAPTIONS. WE DO NOT REVIEW THEM AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THEM. If you are not willing to accept that risk, do not use the Service.

9.3 Monitoring Your Account

Because the Service posts without your per-post approval, you should monitor your X account regularly and pause the automation if anything is published that you do not want on your account.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in breach of Instagram's or X's rules (see Section 3)
  • Use the Service to publish content you do not have the right to publish (see Section 4)
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying APIs of the Service
  • Circumvent usage limits, plan restrictions, rate limits, or payment systems
  • Share, resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or its providers
  • Use the Service to operate spam networks, bot farms, or coordinated inauthentic accounts
  • Impersonate any person or provide false information
  • Use automated means to interact with the Service other than as intended

11. Payment, Trials, Cancellation and Refunds

11.1 Subscriptions

The Service is offered on monthly subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed at www.runxforme.com/pricing and may change at any time. Changes will not affect the current billing period already paid for.

11.2 Free Trial

Every plan includes a 7-day free trial, available once per customer. A valid credit card is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your card is charged.

11.3 Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.

11.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your dashboard, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You retain access to the Service until that period ends. You will not be charged again after cancelling.

11.5 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel part-way through a month, you keep access until the end of that month, but no pro-rata refund is issued. This includes cancellation following account suspension by Instagram or X, service interruption, unsatisfactory results, or posts that failed to publish.

This does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend or terminate your automation without notice.

11.7 Billing Disputes

Contact support@runxforme.com within 30 days of the charge.

12. No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • That the Service complies with the terms, rules or policies of Instagram, X, or any other platform
  • That your use of the Service will not result in restriction, suspension or termination of your accounts
  • That posts will publish successfully, on schedule, or at all
  • That content will be retrieved correctly, completely, or in any particular order
  • The accuracy, appropriateness or quality of AI-generated captions
  • Uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free operation
  • That the Service will continue to be available, or to function in its current form
  • Security of your data, tokens or account
  • Any particular result, reach, engagement, growth or outcome

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: THE SERVICE DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS AND PROVIDERS THAT WE DO NOT CONTROL. INSTAGRAM, X, OR ANY UPSTREAM PROVIDER MAY CHANGE, RESTRICT, OR BLOCK ACCESS AT ANY TIME, WITHOUT NOTICE, PERMANENTLY BREAKING THE SERVICE. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE OF CONTINUED OPERATION.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited but not excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the Service or paying the cost of resupply.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages
  • Restriction, suspension, shadow-banning, deletion or permanent termination of your Instagram account, X account, or any other account
  • Loss of followers, reach, engagement, verification, monetisation eligibility or revenue
  • Claims brought against you for copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation or other infringement arising from content published through the Service
  • Fines, penalties, takedown notices or legal action arising from your use of the Service
  • Content published to your account, including AI-generated captions
  • Posts that failed, duplicated, published late, or published unexpected content
  • Loss or corruption of data, tokens or post history
  • Unauthorised access to your account, data or access tokens
  • Acts, omissions, outages, errors or policy changes of third-party providers, including Meta, X Corp., OpenAI, Clerk, Stripe, Neon, Vercel, and any content-retrieval provider
  • Service interruption, discontinuation or permanent shutdown
  • Business losses, lost profits, lost opportunities or reputational harm

WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory relied on, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless RunXForMe, its operator, affiliates and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Content published to your X account through the Service
  • Your breach of Instagram's or X's terms, rules or policies
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your infringement of any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights
  • Any claim by a rights holder whose Instagram content you republished
  • Your breach of any applicable law or regulation

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content published through the Service infringes your copyright, contact support@runxforme.com with:

  • Your contact details
  • A description of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing content and where it appears
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We will respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law and may suspend or terminate the account of any user who is the subject of repeated valid complaints.

Note: Content published through the Service appears on X. Takedown of a post that is already live on X may also require a complaint to X directly.

16. Termination

16.1 By You

You may pause your automation, disconnect your X account, or cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and the data held with it, email support@runxforme.com from the address on your account and we will action it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

16.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Publishing prohibited content
  • Suspected infringement of third-party rights
  • Suspected fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity
  • Non-payment
  • A request or requirement from Instagram, X, or any provider
  • Any reason at our sole discretion

16.3 Effect of Termination

On termination, all automation stops, your stored X access tokens are deleted, and your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Posts already published to X remain on X and are your responsibility to remove. No refund is issued for the remainder of a paid period terminated for breach.

17. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including:

  • X Corp., account authorisation and publishing
  • Meta / Instagram, source of the content retrieved
  • OpenAI, AI caption generation
  • Clerk, authentication and account management
  • Neon, database hosting
  • Stripe, payment processing
  • Vercel, hosting, delivery and site analytics
  • Sentry, error monitoring
  • Arcjet, bot filtering and abuse protection
  • Resend, email delivery
  • A third-party content-retrieval provider

Each has its own terms and privacy policy, which you should review. We are not responsible for their availability, performance, decisions or policy changes.

18. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability, including features, pricing, posting limits, backfill depth, AI models, and third-party integrations. This includes discontinuing the Service entirely if a platform change makes it unviable.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

19.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

19.2 Informal Resolution First

Before commencing any legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting support@runxforme.com and allowing 30 days for a response.

19.3 Limitation Period

Any claim must be brought within one (1) year of the claim arising, to the extent permitted by law.

20. General

20.1 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in full force.

20.2 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

20.3 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

20.4 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RunXForMe.
